About Dr. Nishit Choksi

Dr. Choksi entered the field of medicine, specifically cardiology, for a deeply personal reason. After witnessing the sudden death of his grandmother firsthand, he began his pursuit of a career in medicine in order to help those with cardiovascular disease. Today, Dr. Choksi is an established and highly skilled physician with over 30 years of experience specializing in Interventional Cardiology. Motivated by compassion and service, Dr. Choksi has set out to deliver patient care that far surpasses current medical standards. With a focus on innovation and problem solving, Dr. Choksi’s passion is driven by the bonds he builds with his patients over the course of their lives and the enjoyment he holds in keeping them healthy and well.
As a triple board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Disease, he continues to work and develop new treatments and technologies that are aimed at helping solve cardiovascular conditions.
Currently, he serves as the Chief of Cardiovascular Services at Ascension Providence Hospital Rochester, and as an Attending at both Henry Ford Hospital and Beaumont Hospital. He is licensed in Michigan, Florida, and Georgia.
Dr. Choksi has initiated numerous interventional cardiology programs in hospitals- including at Beaumont Hospital Troy, Ascension Hospital Rochester, and Huron Valley Hospital-Detroit Medical Center in Commerce Township. Previously, he served as Chief of Vascular Interventions at Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak
Over the course of his decades-long career, Dr. Choksi has earned numerous accolades for his quality and patient-centered care. He is a five-time titleholder of HOUR Magazine’s Top Doc Award. He holds patents for the method of forming Monolithic CMOS-MEMS Hybrid Integrated Packaged Structures, along with a patent for flexible, penetrating electrodes for Neuronal Stimulation and the recording method of manufacturing it. Among these achievements, he has received the Glory of India Award, the Gem of India Award, and the Global Indian Achievers Award.
DR. CHOKSI SPECIALIZES IN:
Complex coronary interventions, impella-guided interventions, peripheral vascular, lower extremity arterial interventions including critical limb ischemia, venous ablations, deep vein interventions, structural heart: TAVR and left atrial appendage occluders for atrial fibrillation, and management of pulmonary embolism.
